We are pleased to inform you that the examination of our patent application has been successful and the patent for the VITLAB® symbiotic (DE 10 2005 034 963) has been granted.
In the lab, burettes according to Dr. Schilling are used because they can be filled very rapidly and have an integrated, automatic zero-point readjustment. However, due to the long measuring tube, all burettes of this type have a rather poor stability. Since the burette tubes are made of glass, they pose a risk of breakage and injury.
VITLAB sets new standards and offers a burette made of borosilicate glass 3.3 with a thermally stable plastic coating. This provides additional breaking resistance and acts as a splinter protection, if the glass burette breaks, thus further reducing the risk of injury. A silicone impact protection is located at the upper burette tube. If the burette gets knocked over, it cushions the impact and protects the tube.
